Create and publish
Choose whether you are organizing the event yourself or with a group’s management team. You must be on that team to manage a group event. Creating personal events or groups is not available to every account.
Choose the host before creating
Create the event for the right host from the start. The group’s team can manage a group event, but you cannot later attach an existing personal event to a group. If creation is unavailable, check the explanation shown instead of trying another person’s account.
Prepare the essentials
Give people enough information to decide whether to attend: a clear title and description, a start and end time, the event timezone, and the event format. An event can be in person, online, or combine both. Check the venue and online information separately, including which details should be restricted to confirmed participants.
Review the participation conditions before inviting anyone. Visibility, approval, available places and response deadlines answer different questions; a public page does not necessarily mean unrestricted registration.
You can also choose the event’s appearance and banner. Use images you have permission to share, without exposing personal information that does not belong on the event page.
Review and publish
A draft lets you prepare the event before publishing. Preview the participant-facing page, confirm the schedule and access settings, then publish when the details are ready. Publishing and sending invitations are separate tasks. Check the guest list and invitation status to see who has been contacted.
To reuse an event, duplication creates a new draft. It does not copy the guest list; a duplicated group event stays with its group. Review all details before publishing the new event.
