Register and respond
Before making plans, check your response on the event page. Opening an invitation or sending a request does not reserve a place.
Choose the available participation option
An invitation-only event requires an invitation. Other events may allow you to register directly or submit a request for approval. Follow the verification requested by BenOui! and confirm your response. For some group events, eligible members can join directly under the organizer’s settings.
If you already have an invitation, you can respond that you are going or not going while responses are open. If you submit a request, wait for the outcome rather than assuming that submission reserves a place.
Read your status
- Awaiting reply: a response is still expected.
- Awaiting approval: your request has not yet been accepted or declined.
- Going: you are recorded as attending.
- Not going: you are recorded as not attending.
- Waitlisted: you are waiting for a place, not holding one.
- Declined: your request was not accepted.
Always check the latest status on the event page. The organizer may act on a request while you are viewing it.
Capacity and waitlists
A full event may offer a waitlist. Approval can therefore put you on the waitlist rather than immediately make you Going. If there is no waitlist, a full event may prevent admission or leave a request awaiting a decision.
Places can be offered automatically to eligible waiting participants when room becomes available and the event’s withdrawal rules still allow it. This is not a promise of admission. Check for a status change before attending, and leave the waitlist if you no longer want a place. Leaving and rejoining puts you at the back of the queue.
