Security and devices
Protect the email account you use with BenOui!. In your security settings, check the available options for passwords, passkeys and signing out of devices.
Passwords and passkeys
For an account with a password, choose a unique password. Use password recovery if you forget it. A successful password reset closes the account’s existing sessions, so expect to sign in again.
When passkeys are offered, you can add and manage them through your security settings. Whether they are available on other devices depends on your device and credential manager. Make sure you have a usable sign-in method before removing one.
Passkey-only mode, when offered and active, prevents password sign-in and password verification. It requires at least two passkeys. Do not enable it assuming an old password will remain a backup method.
Verify sensitive changes
BenOui! may ask for fresh verification before changing a password or passkey. Verification is for the requested action; an earlier sign-in is not always enough. Repeat verification if it expires, and never share its codes.
Close access on devices
Sign out when you finish using a shared device. Clearing your information from this browser stops someone else from using your saved participant access there. It does not delete your account, memberships or event responses.
If you sign out of your account on all devices, you will also be signed out on the device you are using. If you participate by verifying your email address without signing in to an account, you can end that same email-based access on your other devices after verification. Read the confirmation to check which devices will be signed out.
These actions do not delete calendar files or emails already saved on a device.
