Change my participation
If your plans change, update your response on the event page while responses are still open. This tells the organizer whether to expect you and can free a place for someone else. Read the confirmation to check what will change.
Change a response or give up a place
While responses are open, use the available response options on the event page. Becoming Going still depends on access and capacity. Changing from Going to Not going gives up your place; a later change of mind does not guarantee that it will still be available.
Some events allow a late withdrawal after the ordinary response window closes. This option only lets a Going participant give up their place before the applicable withdrawal deadline. It does not reopen registration or let you change back to Going. A deliberate manual closure by the organizer also closes this late-withdrawal option.
If you cannot change your response, check the deadline and whether the event has ended, been cancelled or been archived. If you need help, contact the organizer through a channel you already know. Sending a message does not change your response for you.
Withdraw a request or leave a waitlist
You can withdraw a pending attendance request when that option is available. If the organizer has already accepted or declined it, check the updated response and the options now offered.
Leaving a waitlist cancels your interest in a waiting place. Depending on how you joined, you may retain an invitation with a response status or be withdrawn from the event. Read the result shown. Rejoining later puts you at the back of the waitlist.
Check the result
After confirming, check your new response on the event page. If an error appears or the result is unclear, do not assume it changed. Leaving a group does not necessarily cancel your attendance at its events. Update each event separately if needed.
