Permissions and blocking

Use these options to review who can add you to activities or use your name. Before confirming a change, check which group or event it affects and what will happen to your participation.

Understand permissions

You can allow a group or personal event to include you and use your display name. Allowing this for a group does not sign you up for all its events.

Review the groups and events in your permissions list. If you still belong to a group, you may be offered the option to leave it. Otherwise, you may be able to withdraw permission. The confirmation explains which event responses will stay and which requests or waitlist places will be removed.

Removing permission is not account deletion. Do not assume it cancels all your responses either: check the events you are attending separately.

Some emails let you withdraw permission for the group or event named in the message to include you. An email saying you were added to a group may also let you leave it. Use these links only for the action described, not to sign in or open other activities.

To participate again, use the participation or group-joining options offered by BenOui!. An old disable link does not restore access on its own.

Block and unblock

Blocking a person prevents them from adding you to their personal events. Blocking a group prevents new additions to that group and its events. The confirmation explains which existing memberships, invitations or requests will be removed. Some past activity may still appear in the history.

Blocking is refused while you are confirmed as Going to an affected event that has not ended. You also cannot block a group while you are its owner or a manager. Resolve the situation shown first.

Unblocking removes the block, but does not automatically recreate removed memberships, requests or registrations. Your account and activities unrelated to the target are not deleted.
