Work with a management team

The owner and managers look after the group and its events. To help manage a group, you need to accept a team invitation. Joining as a member or accepting an event invitation does not add you to the team.

Understand responsibilities

The owner can manage the whole group. Managers handle many everyday tasks, but cannot change settings reserved for the owner. If you can view a setting but cannot change it, check whether it is owner-only.

The owner invites and removes managers and can review team invitation history. Managers can see who is on the team and leave it. If you leave the team, you can no longer manage its events, including those you created.

Invite someone and respond

The owner sends a team invitation to the person’s email address. To accept or decline it, sign in to the account using that same address. You cannot manage the group until you accept. Before accepting, read the responsibilities and agreement notice shown by BenOui!.

Invitations can expire or be cancelled. Check the current invitation rather than relying on an old email. The owner can resend or cancel it using the options offered. Leaving or being removed from the team ends your ability to manage the group, but does not by itself end your membership or event participation.

Share responsibility for alerts

The owner can choose an active team member to receive each supported group alert: join requests, attendance requests and an event becoming full. The event-full alert also depends on the event’s setting. When no selected recipient applies, the alert falls back to the current owner.

These alerts are not a complete record of every change. Group events do not send management alerts for every RSVP change or withdrawal. Use the group and event views to review current information, and the owner’s team history to understand team changes.
